I have been wanting to post really since Friday, but I have been going through some personal issues and feeling kinda funky. To top off the funkiness, I didn't make the ES CT team. BUT---
I got a PM Friday tho, that absolutely made my week! Pam of Pamela Donnis Designs over at ES, PM'ed me and asked me to be on her CT! She is a new designer. She went through the Teacher's Pet Designer program over at Funky Playgroud. She made it far, but was not one of the one's chosen for a spot at the store. She has however, found a home over at Elemental Scraps. I have completed two layouts for her so far. The first one is from her kit Ocean Life.

The second one, I just completed and it was done with Modern Nature.

I will be guesting for a few other folks in the upcoming months. I will let you know as they come up.
I got my prints back from MyPicTales. I must say that I am kinda disappointed. I spent a couple hours resizing my layouts to their specifications of 12.25 inches. They said that this would allow for a bleed, so when they go to trim they won't cut anything off. Well that was a big waste of my time. Most of my layouts were cut off. Either off-centered or cut off too much of one side or the other. Growing up in the house with a printing pressman, I tend to notice these types of things. Every book and magazine (or anything in print really) that we looked at was scrutinized daily. Some people may not have noticed but I did. My only other complaint with them is that a couple of my pictures turned out grainy or fuzzy. I will say tho, that they do seem to have very good customer service. I e-mailed them with my issues and had a response within 30 minutes. They also offered to reprint my order. I took them up on that, but I hope these come out better. Now on to the good things about them. I have had lo's printed at other sites and so far MPT beats most on price, paper, color. For the price alone you can't beat it. They so far are the lowest priced single printer out there at least that I have seen (if you know of another, please let me in on the secret too). I will say too, that the color was right on. They looked exactly like they do on the monitor. The paper was a heavier paper than what the others have used. They also are one of the only printers that use lasers to print. They explained to me that was why some of my photos looked fuzzy. I can't wait to get my reprints. I also have to get moving uploading more of my layouts so I can take advantage of the coupon I got from them.

Hey Miss J! Thanks for checking out my blog. :) You asked about why I scrap retangular...well, I started out that way and have never really changed. I do square pages on occasion, but I still prefer the rectangle. I do print my layouts at home, on a color laser printer using a shiny, good quality paper. It is SO much cheaper per page than any other option I've found. Plus, then I can store them in regular 3 ring binders in plastic sheet protectors, both of which are inexpensive options. I find it fairly easy to adapt square templates to rectangle, and I also sell templates (made from my own pages). Let me know if you decide to do you son's album this way...I'd love to see it!
I've never read any feedback on them, but I've wondered. Thanks for being brave enough to post your review out there.
